Tim Eckart method
Our service centre is authorised to change the oil in automatic transmissions using the Tim Eckart method. We are the only ones in Slovenia with equipment from the manufacturer Tim Eckart. In 2021, we also purchased additional equipment.
With this method, the key point is that all the oil is replaced throughout the entire transmission, as well as in the entire cooler system and the torque converter. The advantage of such a change is that the oil is replaced throughout the entire transmission system and only new oil remains in it; it does not mix with the old oil. Beforehand, a “cleaning agent” is added to the old oil to clean the entire system. Another advantage is that this method uses exactly as much oil as the transmission requires. For such a change, we need a device that pumps out the old oil and simultaneously pumps new oil into the system.
